Ringworm and tinea versicolor (or pityriases versicolor) are two common skin diseases or skin problems causes by fungi. These skin diseases are affected by relatively high percentage of people.  Fungi prefer warm and wet areas like most animal or plants do. That is why these skin diseases thrive in warm, moist and wet rooms or climate.

Another name for tinea versicolor is pityriases versicolor. People who live in tropical climates often find ringworm and tinea versicolor are regular skin problems in their areas. Sportsmen and anybody who active in sports, that always sweats and wet also find these skin diseases common to them.

Ringworm is easily to recognize. You shall feel itchy on your skin continuously on the infected area. Ringworm and Tinea Versicolor Treatments Using Cassia Alata or Senna Alata

Cassia alata or senna alata is a plant species which you can find in many areas in the world. The other names for this plant are Gelenggang, Candelabra Bush, Ringworm Tree, Candletree, Empress Candle Plant and many more.

You can find this plant in many countries in Southeast Asia and Pacific islands such as in Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Hawaii. You also can find the plant in South Asia and South America such as Mexico and some territories in the United States.

The plant can easily recognize with its yellow flower or its leaves. The plant has very beautiful yellow flowers as shown in the video above and the picture below.

The branch of the plant is roughly 50 to 90 cm lengths that hold its leaves. Each leave is around 10 – 20 cm length and they are stacked well arrange on the plant’s branch. The plant can be up to 3 to 4 meter height. Sometimes you can find the tree is shorter than its branch.

Cassia alata or senna alata leaves are very powerful medicine for skin diseases especially for fungal infections such as ringworm and tinea versicolor.

How to Make the Ringworm ( Tinea or White Spot) Treatment?

The easiest way to prepare the treatment or medicine is by using mortar and pestle (cooking tool). What you have to do is to crush the leaves into small pieces so that you can get juices from those leaves.

You can apply directly the paste i.e. the juice and the leave to the infected area on your skin. Alternatively you can add little bit of cooking oil to the paste and then apply it to your skin. Oil helps the juice to be thicker and easier to use on your skin. In addition, cooking oil itself is also good for skin.

Experiences Using Cassia Alata or Senna Alata

I was a little skeptic about this plant before, not until I had tried it myself. I had ringworms since I was a kid. I had tried so many types of treatments, medicine, anti-fungal cream, tablets and many more.

Anti-fungal cream works for some time. You can heal the ringworms but they are still some marks on your skin. After some times later, the same ringworm again attacks on my skin on almost the same area.

Using candelabra bush or cassia alata is hundreds times better than any anti-fungal cream. Only after few times you repeat it then you can see the difference.  All ringworms are gone in a very short time. Candelabra bush has been used by so many people for ringworms treatment and other tinea infections.
